Bill began his diverse art career, drawing and painting animals on his parents' Indiana farm. His passion for birds and animals was apparent from his earliest recollection. After many years, he was no longer content with painting just North American wildlife. Bill expanded his subject matter to include exotic birds and animals from around the world.
"I believe that art begins where nature ends. My paintings are not just copies of nature. I like to manipulate and orchestrate the art, to create a particular mood or evoke a particular emotion from the viewer. Hopefully, after looking at one of my paintings, the view comes away with a different feeling about the subject matter and an interest in knowing more."
