Art for Conservation began partnering with Wild Wonders of Europe in 2009 when AFC president Mark Lukes and WWE Managing Director Staffan Widstrand (Sweden) got together in Merida, MX, at the World Wilderness Congress. As part of the agreement, Art for Conservation became the USA venue for the sales of Wild Wonders images.

What’s Wild Wonders all about? It's simple really.
Millions of people think nature in Europe is pretty boring.
Others think that it has all disappeared under concrete.
Some even think Europe never had any.
Well, they've got it all wrong.

Beginning in May 2008, Wild Wonders organizers sent out 69 of Europe's best nature photographers to capture the very best of Europe's nature. The most charismatic places and species of the continent. These photographers spent 14 months traveling to the 45 countries of Europe – almost all of them to a country other than their own.

Wild Wonders of Europe is about sharing the amazing natural beauty of this continent with over 700 million Europeans and the rest World! Their aim is help Europeans better reconnect with their wonderful heritage and take care of it more wisely for the future.

Wild Wonders of Europe wants to show that Europe really is not about just highways and cities. Today, when people think of nature, they picture Africa or in America because that is what’s on TV. The European natural wonders are still very little known to the World. We want to change that.

Wild Wonders of Europe also wants to celebrate the conservation measures being taken to preserve Europe’s natural wonders and to strongly support taking these measure’s even further. We want to bring you the good news that a lot of wildlife in Europe is actually coming back! When we humans make the right decisions, nature quickly responds!

The result of Wild Wonders of Europe’s efforts:
Major outdoor and indoor exhibitions touring European countries 2010-2013
Plans for a North American tour of outdoor and indoor exhibitions beginning in 2011
A major, large-format coffee-table book, in several languages – available in the US in October, 2010.
