
NANPA Nature Photography Scholarship
The North American Nature Photography Association (NANPA) is awarding scholarships for college students to attend NANPA's Sixteenth Annual Nature Photography Summit in Reno, NV from February 16-19, 2010.
The Opportunity of a Lifetime!
Past participants frequently describe their experiences at the NANPA Summit as “inspiring,” “incredible,” or even "life-altering"! It is truly a once in a lifetime opportunity to make personal contacts with the top pros in nature photography as well as editors, stock agents and other industry leaders.
The Scholarship
• One year NANPA membership
• Full Summit registration
• All meals and hotel room (double occupancy) at the conference site
• Admission to all Summit Keynote
Presentations and Breakout Sessions
• Photo field trip led by NANPA pros
• One-on-one portfolio review with one of the nation’s top stock agents, photo editors or
photographers
• Many opportunities to network and establish the contacts needed for long-term success in
the business.
Eligibility
To qualify, applicants must be full-time students at
a two or four-year college, university or trade
school, and be at least 19 years of age by
December 31, 2009.
To Apply
Each applicant must submit:
• 15 photographic images that demonstrate the
diversity of their photographic skills, and
answer a series of essay questions describing
their goals and achievements.
• 5 nature-oriented images that express their interpretation of a single theme or concept of
their choosing. This is the applicant’s opportunity to demonstrate their ability to tell a
story with their photography.
• At least one letter of recommendation by a professor or teacher, coach, activity leader or
other adult who can attest to the student’s qualifications for receiving the scholarship.
Applications must be submitted via the NANPA website no later than November 9, 2009.
