Earthjustice

Founded in 1971 as the Sierra Club Legal Defense Fund, the group's name was later changed to Earthjustice to better reflect its role as a legal advocate for the environment and because, as their tagline says,
"The Earth Needs a Good Lawyer".

Earthjustice is a non-profit public interest law firm dedicated to protecting the magnificent places, natural resources, and wildlife of this earth, and to defending the right of all people to a healthy environment. They bring about far-reaching change by enforcing and strengthening environmental laws on behalf of hundreds of organizations, coalitions and communities.

Since its inception, Earthjustice has provided legal representation at no cost to more than 700 clients, ranging from Natural Resources Defense Council and the Wilderness Society to many smaller state and community-based coalitions.

As part of its broad ranging commitment to address the causes - and the effects of global warming, Earthjustice collaborated with the Noah Alliance, International League of Conservation Photographers and CI to launch the Irreplaceable: Wildlife in a Warming World campaign. A critical component of this campaign is a stunning large format photography exhibit which is currently travelling the country to illustrate the impacts of climate change on Wildlife around the world.

Art for Conservation produced the stunning prints that comprise this exhibit. Visit the Irreplaceable website to learn more and to view the images.
