Van Kelly
Van began his career in the arts at the age of twelve. Through the inspiration and instruction from his mother, he was introduced to batik and would enter his works next to his mom. After receiving a third place ribbon, he was hooked for life. Batik offers an ever-changing canvas that leaves an open door for creativity. Van, a Colorado native, was given an endless format of scenery to create from. He was drawn to the desert's colors and shapes and found a connection to batik that led to his southwest desert series.
