Karla Nolan
Artist Karla Nolan is largely self-taught. Being an experimenter and an intuitive learner, she has benefited from studying books, visiting museums and galleries around the world, and by learning various painting techniques from several friends and relatives who are artists.
J.M.W. Turner, Georgia O'Keeffe, and Paul Cezanne -- all have had an incredible influence on Karla's perception of fine art. Her style of art might be called "abstract realism", an oxymoron in its own way. Karla relives her memories of landscapes and skies as she paints them.
Karla is an award-winning artist who is represented by several galleries throughout Colorado. For almost 19 years she has lived in Fort Collins, Colorado with her wonderful and supportive husband and two lovely daughters. Karla enjoys traveling all over the country and to Europe, but loves returning to the bright blue skies and red soil of her birthplace, Colorado.
