Artist Statement
By the time I was 10 years old I had lived on 3 continents and in 3 very different environments; this helped to instill in me a love for travel and experiencing the uniqueness of our world. On my way to Nigeria, west Africa when I was around 13, I had my first camera (a Nikon N65) and happened to sit next to a National Geographic photographer who gave me a few tips and I've been taking pictures ever since.
Over the years I have continued traveling and decided since I appreciate the little, simple, complex beauties in life that I would try to capture them in order to share them with others. In a way, I do not consider my photographs works of art but rather that I am capturing the art of God.
Soon I will be moving to Oklahoma City and, as well as wishing to share the beauty of our world through photographs, I am also hoping to help support myself through photography so I will be able to be heavily involved in inner city work and outreach. My dream is to one day be able to support myself on short term mission/relief trips so I can show the world my love and God's love through the service of my hands.
I have been told by friends that I have a calming influence in their lives and through my photographs I try to convey some of that calmness or serenity, which is why I chose the name Serene Beauty Photos. I hope they grant your life some serenity and that my photographs inspire you to look for the serenity which can be found in nature's beauty around you.
1% of the profits from my work goes to support International League of Conservation Photographers.
