Beth Grove
Artist Statement
Beth began her career designing and painting for Carol Wilson Fine Arts, Inc., a company that produces greeting cards, stationery and gift items. She soon became their resident "kitty and puppy painter", and fell in love with the task of capturing the spirit of living creatures.Through her connections at Carol Wilson Fine Arts, Inc., Beth became involved with a local conservationist, Cheryl Tuller, Co-Founder of Wildcat Haven in Sherwood, Oregon. Wildcat Haven is a non-profit rescue facility for displaced, abused and neglected captive-born wildcats.
In 2005 Cheryl asked Beth to create a watercolor painting for their yearly benefit auction, depicting one of the furry residents at the shelter. Having had the experience of painting domestic kittens, Beth saw the opportunity of painting the larger cats as a fun and exciting new challenge. Every year since she has contributed a new item to the fundraiser auction for the upkeep of this wildlife sanctuary.
Beth lives in Portland, Oregon with her favorite, and domestic cat, Keekers.
25% of the profits from my work goes to support WildCat Haven.
